In Honour of Henry Nowak

 

In December 2025, Henry Nowak’s life was tragically cut short while studying at Southampton University.

 

Henry had just begun his first year studying Accountancy and Finance. He was a loving son, brother, cousin, grandson, nephew, friend and teammate — a young man full of life, kindness and ambition. Henry had a way of bringing people together and was deeply loved by everyone fortunate enough to know him.

 

On the 3rd of December, Henry went on a night out with his new university football teammates to celebrate the end of their first semester. Devastatingly, he never made it home to his family.

 

In the months since, the support from the community has been overwhelming. So many people have reached out asking how they can help.

 

This event is our answer.

 

On Saturday 11th July 2026, we will come together at Aveley Football Club for a Celebrity Charity Football Match in Henry’s memory — celebrating his life through the game he loved most.

 

All funds raised will go to 2Wish, the incredible charity that stood beside Henry’s family in their darkest moments and continues to support families facing the unimaginable loss of a child.

 

This isn’t just a football match.

It’s a community coming together.

It’s a celebration of Henry’s life.

And it’s a chance to make sure his legacy continues to help others.
