Fundraising in memory of Callum (Griff) Griffiths

My Story

Dream Big  #Forever 19 is a memorial page that has been set up to remember and celebrate the life of Callum Griffiths (Griff). Callum lost his life as a passenger in an horrendous car accident on 11th  December 2023. Two of Callum's good friends, Morgan and Jesse also lost their lives and devastation has been left behind.

Callum had a zest for life and lit up every room he walked into with his radiating smile and personality. Callum was kind and caring and always went above and beyond to help others and make time for his wide circle of friends. Callum's life has had such a positive impact upon others that it has become a mission of his family and friends to ensure that this impact continues in Callum's legacy and his story continues to touch the lives of others.

As a result Callum's family and friends have vowed to ensure that both Callum's life and legacy remains at the forefront of peoples's minds and lives. They will be doing this by supporting the fantastic work of 2 Wish Cymru, with all money raised, supporting Children's and Young Person Support. This is because not only have they helped and supported Callum's sister Erin through this horrific time in her life but have also shown support and offered guidance to many of Callum's young friends who are navigating losing 3 of their friends at the same time.

The work carried out as part of the Children's and Young Person Support allows the Support Worker to firstly meet any young person, usually siblings and friends, who have suddenly lost a loved one and then to assess their needs and offer emotional and practical support to them. The support is different for every individual. Some young people will have weekly visits, for some time, others may only need/want a video or
phone call every few weeks.
Training and support is also offered to schools, where support can be offered to staff to help them through a bereavement of a pupil. This can include delivering assemblies and class sessions, around bereavement and memory making.
Other areas that the money could go towards would be :

 Play therapy sessions for 4-12 year olds
 Young Persons Counselling for 13-17 year olds
 Young Adults Counselling for 18-25 year olds
 A parent Support Pathway
 Quarterly events for siblings and families eg. Fun days out, pottery workshops
 Young Ambassadors Programme

With your support we can continue to keep Callum's memory alive and continue to have impact upon the lives of others through supporting 2 Wish Cymru as part of Callum's legacy.
